15 year old star
The Kelowna Rockets pre-season is underway and Madden Daneault, 15, first overall pick from the WHL Prospects Draft, is one of a number of fresh faces for the new campaign.
For most 15-year-old hockey players, playing in the Western Hockey League means seeing limited action while they adjust to the pace and physicality of the league.
For Daneault, he’ll have a much bigger opportunity, as he's eligible to play up to 34 games with the Rockets this season, making him the first 15-year-old in franchise history to have that opportunity.
And when Daneault isn’t in Kelowna, he’ll return to Red Deer, where he will play U18 hockey for the Red Deer U18 Chiefs.
Regan Bartel, with RocketFAN.ca and the voice of the Rockets on 104.7 The LIZARD, caught up with Daneault for Kelowna10.
