A bit of Brazil has come to the Kelowna sand.
Beach Tennis, while invented in Italy, has become huge in Brazil, according to Fernanda Michelstadter Cunha Romancini, from Beach Tennis Okanagan.
She brought the game to Toronto six years ago and now it's taking off in Kelowna.
The sport is played with paddles, like pickleball, and the aim is to play your shots with the paddle held vertically in the smash position.
If you want to give it a try then Wednesday evenings as Gyro Beach is the place to go, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
