This Kelowna company is making a huge global splash

There's a Kelowna headquartered company that continues to quietly and confidently make a wet and wonderful impression across the globe.

Waterplay, which is part of the MAKR Group, has seen its innovative and high quality water/splash parks thrill kids across Canada, The United States, Australia, Asia and Europe.

It recently added to its growing list of accolades with a national award as Community Facility of the Year at the 2025 Parks and Leisure Australia National Awards of Excellence.

Earlier this year it won the World Waterpark Association’s Leading Edge Award for its outstanding work on a waterpark in Vietnam. 

On the very local front, you see Waterplay's work at City Park and Ben Lee Park, to name just a few of their Okanagan efforts.

Kelowna10 found out a little more about the company that employs over 140 people at its local hub and is exporting the Kelowna brand of water and fun in its own special way.
